Anatomic Holograms

As a proof of concept project, University of Minnesota CREST worked with Zebra Imaging to provide the US Department of Defense with holographic anatomy models intended to be used as training tools for frontline medics.

Key anatomic structures were isolated and developed in 3D, before being printed as a multi-layer, flexible, analog holograms.

When viewed at certain angles, the images appear completely 3 dimensional as layers of tissue strip away to reveal underlying structures.
